Movistar Yamaha MotoGP's Maverick Viñales Victorious in 2017 Season Opener!
On March 26, 2017 Movistar Yamaha MotoGP's Maverick Viñales grabbed the victory in the first race of the 2017 Moto GP season at Losail International Circuit, in Qatar. It was his debut for Movistar Yamaha MotoGP.

Viñales started from pole position (his first in his career), but lost a few places at the start. He then fought back to come out on top in the second half of the race, and took the chequered flag in first place after a fierce battle with his rival.

His teammate, Valentino Rossi also put in a great performance and finished third for a double Movistar Yamaha MotoGP podium.
